St Louis CITY2 announced that the club has signed midfielder Wan Kuzain to a new, one-year MLS NEXT Pro contract, with a club option for 2025.
Kuzain returns to the CITY2 squad after making 28 appearances (18 starts) in the 2023 regular-season, where he scored five goals and provided five assists. Kuzainâs five goals last season matched his tally from the 2022 campaign, and his five assists were good for second on the team.Â
On the defensive end, Kuzain finished fourth on the team in tackles (30) and fifth on the team in duels won (200). Both totals surpassed the marks he set during the 2022 season.
The midfielder netted St Louis CITY2âs and MLS NEXT Proâs first-ever goal on March 25, 2022. The Carbondale, Illinois native made 57 appearances for CITY2 across two seasons, finding the back of the net 11 times and providing 10 assists.
