Match Preview | St. Louis CITY SC Wraps Up Homestand Against Atlanta United FC

St. Louis CITY SC will play its second home match of the week with a contest against Eastern Conference opponent Atlanta United FC at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. Fans can watch the match live on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app and listen via radio on KYKY Y98.1 FM (English) and KXOK 102.9 FM (Spanish).

St. Louis comes into the match following a 3-0 loss against Colorado Rapids on Wednesday. In the match, forward Brendan McSorley made his MLS debut after subbing on in the 82nd minute. Veteran defender Jake Nerwinski also made his 150th start in the match.

Entering the weekend, St. Louis sits 12th in the Western Conference table, but is just six points off a playoff spot which is currently held by Austin FC with 24 points. CITY SC will look to get back to winning ways at CITYPARK where they have a record of 14-7-6 and has registered 51 goals and 41 assists.

Against Eastern Conference teams this season, CITY SC is 2-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 at home, with the wins coming against New York City FC and Chicago Fire FC. St. Louis scored seven times across those three matches, including a team-leading three goals netted by forward João Klauss.

The contest will mark the first all-time meeting between CITY SC and Atlanta United. Atlanta enters the contest 5-8-5 on the season, most recently winning 1-0 against D.C. United in their clash earlier this week. They are 2-3-3 away from home this season and unbeaten over their last three road matches.
