CITY SC will be looking to add to their 1-0-1 head-to-head record against the Rapids, after going unbeaten when the teams faced each other last season. In the match at CITYPARK, CITY SC registered a 2-0 win and a clean sheet in front of a sold-out home crowd.

In their last match against FC Dallas, midfielder Eduard Löwen created the most chances (4) and completed the most passes (62). At CITYPARK, Löwen has recorded 18 goal contributions (six goals and 12 assists) in 19 regular season matches. Since the 2023 season, St. Louis is 14-1-2 when Löwen scores or assists in regular season matches.

St. Louis native John Klein also made his first appearance of the 2024 season for the first team. Klein, signed from the Club’s MLS NEXT Pro team St Louis CITY2 on a short-term loan agreement, played 13 minutes and recorded a shot on goal.

St. Louis CITY SC has a 14-6-6 record at CITYPARK and has scored multiple goals in each of their 14 wins and tallied at least three goals in 10 of those matches. This season, St. Louis has a 3-2-4 record at home with 10 goals scored, eight goals conceded and four clean sheets. Klauss leads the team in all-time goals at CITYPARK with eight, while Löwen leads the team in all-time assists with 12.

There will be familiar faces on the sidelines on Wednesday as Colorado’s head coach Chris Armas and Bradley Carnell will square off against each other for the first time in their managerial careers. The two worked together for the New York Red Bulls from 2017 to 2020. Anthony Markanich will also face his former team for the first team after being traded from Colorado to CITY SC in last season’s summer window. Markanich made 13 appearances in the regular season for the Rapids.

Colorado has a 7-7-4 record this season and has posted a 3-5-2 record on the road. The Rapids have tasted defeat in their last three away matches, conceding 10 goals in those matches.
