St. Louis CITY SC Academy’s UPSL team will head to Texas to compete in the 2024 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola. The team is one of three MLS academies competing in the event, joining FC Dallas and Toronto FC to round out the star-studded 12-team Gordon Jago Super Group.
This year, Dallas Cup is celebrating its 45th anniversary. The competition features clubs from eight countries, including six former Super Group champions, and runs from March 24 through March 31.
The UPSL team enters Dallas Cup after finishing as the runner-up in the UPSL 2023 Fall National Playoffs. During their ten-match regular season, the boys put together a campaign for the ages that included achievements such as an undefeated home record, an 8-2-0 overall line, three players with eight or more goals and an overall goal difference of plus-37. After winning the Kentucky-Tennessee Divisional Playoffs, the UPSL team beat Atlanta City FC, Arlington SA Pro, Florida Premier FC and Columbus Crew Academy on their run to the UPSL National Finals.
At Dallas Cup, the team will look to become the first Missouri-based champion across all age groups since 1992.
