St. Louis CITY SC Academy Player Fritz Volmar Called Up to U.S. U-19 Men's National Team Camp

St. Louis CITY SC Academy defender Fritz Volmar has been called-up to the Under-19 U.S. Men’s Youth National Team (MYNT). He will take part in the team’s domestic training camp in Miami, Florida, which begins January 5 and lasts through January 14.

“Fritz has been an outstanding player throughout his time in the Academy,” said Dale Schilly, St. Louis CITY SC Academy Director. “He is such an insightful and intelligent player that he only needs repetitions and experience at the U-19 YNT level to make an impact.  This is Fritz’s second call up so it will be great to see how the youth national team environment continues to impact his development.”

Volmar’s call-up is the second of his young career, having previously trained in the U-19 camp from July 25 through August 2 last year. The callup to the U-19 squad comes on the heels of an impressive season for the Academy’s UPSL team.
