THOUSAND OAKS, CA (September 29, 2024) - St Louis CITY2 earned a 3-2 victory against Ventura County FC at William Rolland Stadium on Sunday night. Michael Wentzel opened the scoring for CITY2 with his second goal of the season following a corner kick. CITY2 led 1-0 at the half until VCFC tied the game in the 52nd minute. Rubén Ramos Jr scored in the 68th minute to give Ventura County the 2-1 lead until Brendan McSorley responded five minutes later with his first of two goals in the game. McSorley earned his second goal of the match to give CITY2 the 3-2 lead and earn three points. St Louis marked their eighth road win of the season. CITY2 will return home to CITYPARK for their final game of the regular season on Sunday, October 6 against Tacoma Defiance.
