After a quiet first half by both teams, Sam Adeniran headed CITY SC into the lead in the 73rd minute before Jared Stroud doubled the score two minutes later. CITY SC Designated Player João Klauss scored a brace to put the match out of reach before William Agada scored a consolation goal for Sporting KC in the dying moments of the match.
