CITY SC vs Colorado Rapids
The Rapids have the edge in the all-time series with a record of 2-1-1. At home, CITY is 1-1-0, after facing defeat to the Rapids last season. Roman Bürki has played the most minutes of any CITY player and has recorded 17 total saves in four matches. Bürki recorded a career and series-high 12 saves in the away fixture in 2023. Colorado has scored eight goals to St. Louis’ four in the series so far.
A Look Back at Last Season
St. Louis CITY SC played their best soccer later in the season, making the second round of Leagues Cup tournament and scoring goals in the process. In their last 14 matches of the season, St. Louis posted a 6-4-4 record, averaging close to two goals a game (27 goals total). Summer signings Marcel Hartel, Cedric Teuchert and Simon Becher accounted for 18 of those goals. The Rapids enjoyed a successful campaign last season, culminating in a playoff appearance against eventual MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy. Colorado finished the 2024 regular season with a record of 15-14-5 and a 5-10-2 record away from home.
Scouting Colorado
Colorado comes into the match with a win under their belt after defeating LAFC 2-1 in CONCACAF Champions Cup action on Tuesday night. Midfielder Djordje Mihailovic recorded both goals for the Burgundy Boys as they take an early lead in their 2025 CCC campaign.
