St. Louis CITY SC vs Columbus Crew
The match will mark the first time St. Louis CITY SC faces Columbus Crew in the regular season. The only previous meeting between the two teams was in the 2023 Leagues Cup, where Columbus won 2-1 at home. Columbus midfielder Aziel Jackson was part of CITY SC’s inaugural season in 2023, appearing in 41 regular season matches, recording one goal and five assists, before being traded to the Crew.

Scouting Columbus Crew
Through the first seven games of 2025, Columbus Crew is one of only two undefeated teams in MLS, along with Inter Miami CF. Their seven-match unbeaten streak to start the season is the second longest in club history, behind only the 2010 season (8 games) before their first regular-season loss. Diego Rossi (4 goals) and Jacen Russell-Rowe (3 goals) lead the team in scoring. Columbus has won 11 of its last 16 regular season away matches, posting an 11-2-3 record since last April.

A Look at the Last Match
St. Louis CITY SC lost 2-0 to Sporting Kansas City last Saturday night at Children’s Mercy Park. CITY SC controlled the match up until the first goal but was unable to capitalize and find the back of the net to secure a point. Dejan Joveljic opened the scoring in the 71st minute and doubled his tally with a second goal in the 88th minute.
