St. Louis CITY SC will host Minnesota United in a crucial western conference matchup at CITYPARK on Saturday. The match will kick off at 7:30 pm CT and will be streamed on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Fans can also listen via radio on KYKY 98.1 FM (English) and on KXOK 102.9 FM (Spanish).

The teams faced each other twice last season, with each club winning the away fixture of the matchup. Minnesota earned a 1-0 win at CITYPARK while St. Louis grabbed a 2-1 win in Minnesota. Klauss and Njabulo Blom notched the goals against Minnesota last season.

Simon Becher and Indiana Vassilev each have two career goals against Minnesota. Vassilev’s two goals against the Loons were scored on June 25, 2022, in a seven-minute cameo for Inter Miami. Both of Becher’s goals were scored off the bench while playing for Vancouver last season.

In their last match, St. Louis came from behind to secure a point on the road against New England Revolution. Henry Kessler scored against his former team New England to put CITY SC ahead in the 23rd minute. The goal was Kessler’s first for St. Louis and his fifth ever MLS goal. Becher also got on the scoresheet in the second half to seal the point for CITY SC. Becher has now scored four goals in his last seven matches since joining St. Louis.

Marcel Hartel again provided an assist in the match – his fourth MLS assist of the season. In his last three MLS matches, Hartel has recorded five goal contributions (one goal, four assists). Hartel and Becher were both selected to the Team of the Matchday squad.

With the draw, St. Louis extended their unbeaten regular season streak to four matches. St. Louis have only lost once in their last eight matches across all competitions (3-1-4 record), scoring 17 goals in that stretch with a +2-goal differential.

All five of CITY SC’s regular season wins have come at CITYPARK this season. St. Louis CITY SC has a 16-8-7 record at CITYPARK and has scored multiple goals in each of their 16 wins, while tallying at least three goals in 10 of those matches. Roman Bürki’s five shutouts at CITYPARK are tied for fourth for goalkeepers with the most clean sheets at home this season.

Klauss leads the team in all-time goals at CITYPARK with eight followed by Eduard Löwen who has seven. Löwen leads the team in all-time home assists with 13. Löwen has recorded 20 goal contributions (seven goals and 13 assists) in 24 regular season matches at CITYPARK.

Minnesota currently sits in ninth position in the western conference standings with 36 points, eight ahead of St. Louis. The Loons are 5-6-2 on the road this season but have only won one of their last eight road matches, posting a 1-5-2 record in that span.
