St. Louis CITY SC travels to Texas to take on FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium this Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CST, and the match will be televised on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app and broadcasted by our radio partners on KYKY Y98.1 FM (English) and KXOK 102.9 FM (Spanish).

In their match last weekend, St. Louis CITY SC fell 2-1 at home to Portland Timbers. After Portland’s Evander converted a penalty, Célio Pompeu slotted home the equalizer, but the goal was short-lived after Yimmi Chará found the game-winner three minutes later.

Célio’s equalizer against Portland marked his first career goal in MLS and for CITY SC across all competitions. Célio, who came off a three-assist match against Union Omaha in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, became the 11th different scorer for CITY SC across all competitions and the ninth in MLS play.

St. Louis CITY SC's 19 points are the second most by an expansion team after 10 games in league history (LAFC – 20 in 2018). St. Louis has scored multiple goals in all six of its wins (20 total). CITY SC has recorded 167 pressing sequences this season, third-most in the league behind only the Red Bulls (201) and D.C. United (171), per Opta. St. Louis has attempted an average of 22.3 tackles per match this season, 3.5 more than any other team in the league (D.C. United – 18.8), winning a league-high 13.6 per game.

St. Louis owns the best away record (3-1-1) in the league, scoring 10 goals in the process. CITY SC has scored the opening goal in three of their five road matches (Austin FC, Real Salt Lake and Colorado Rapids) and has recorded come-from-behind victories in their first two road games against Austin FC (2-3) and Portland Timbers (1-2).

FC Dallas comes into the match up sitting in fourth place in the MLS Western Conference standings, four points behind CITY SC who are currently in second place. FC Dallas has won 17 of its 22 home matches against expansion teams (0-2-3), including winning 11 of the last 13 at Toyota Stadium. Nashville SC is the only expansion team since 2010 to earn any points at Dallas, recording a win and a draw in 2020.

Including last season's playoffs, FC Dallas has recorded five wins, five draws and five losses over its last 15 MLS matches, scoring and conceding 17 times in those games. Four of Dallas' five wins, and 14 of its 20 points, in that span have been earned at home.
