St. Louis CITY SC U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-19 academy teams went 6-1-1 over the weekend as they faced Michigan Jaguars and Midwest FC. On Saturday against Michigan Jaguars, the U-14s won 1-0, the U-15s won, 3-1, the U-16s tied 2-2, and the U-19s fell 3-1. Sunday was successful for the academy teams as they scored a combined 23 goals. The U-14s won 4-0, the U-15s won 9-1, the U-16s won 5-0, and the U-19s also won 5-0.
U-14s go undefeated against Michigan Jaguars and Midwest FC
The U-14s picked up a 1-0 win over Michigan Jaguars with Devon Coates scoring the lone goal. Brennen Meyer earned the shutout. On Sunday afternoon, the U-14s earned another shutout with the team winning 4-0. Charles Thomson scored a brace and Ismail Ahmetspahic and Emmett Wilson scored as well. Ryan Ramsey picked up the shutout.
U-15s score 12 combined goals against Michigan Jaguars and Midwest FC
The U-15s opened the weekend picking up a 3-1 win over Michigan Jaguars with Kane Krauss, Drew Dowling, and Eddie Niles scoring. The U-15s were able to win 9-1 against Midwest FC on Sunday. Kane Krauss scored a hattrick and Eddie Niles, Blake Wilson, Bennett Hayden, Caleb Conlon, Reid Williams, and Brody Pierce all added to the scoresheet.
U-16s score five goals past Midwest United FC
The U-16s tied 2-2 with Michigan Jaguars as Steven Foristal and Langh Hau scored. The following day, the U-16s earned a 5-0 shutout against Midwest United FC as Jovanni Giffin scored a brace and Langh Hau, Chianozie Nwankwo, and an own goal added to the scoresheet. Jacob Rahn earned the shutout.
U-19s earned 5-0 shutout over Midwest FC.
CITY SC fell 3-1 against Michigan Jaguars on Saturday with Carson Locker scoring the lone goal. The U-19s turned things around on Sunday as they won 5-0 against Midwest United FC. Carson Locker, Jack DiMaria, Chidubie Nwankwo, Hudson Jacobs, and Jacksen McNeal all were able to put the ball in the back of the net. Goalkeeper Brady Cochrane picked up the shutout.
What’s Next?
All four academy teams will be off next weekend for the FIFA international break and will pick things up again on the weekend of Saturday, October 19 as the U-14s and U-15s will face St. Louis Scott Gallagher and the U-16s and U-19s will face Chicago Fire FC. On Sunday, October 20, all four teams will play against SC Wave.
