CITY earned a draw against their rivals Sporting KC following a 2-2 result at Energizer Park on Wednesday. St. Louis opened the scoring via a goal from Célio Pompeu before Cedric Teuchert scored off a shot from Tomáš Ostrák to double the lead. Sporting KC responded with two second-half goals to level the match.

St. Louis CITY SC vs Minnesota United

Minnesota United has won in three of the four all-time meetings with St. Louis CITY SC, including both matchups last season. The road team has come out on top in three of those four contests, with the lone home win in the series coming last October, when Minnesota United earned a 4-1 win at Allianz Field. Among CITY’s current roster, three players have previously found the net against the Loons: Marcel Hartel, Klauss, and Cedric Teuchert.

Minnesota United is coming off a 2-0 road loss to the Houston Dynamo. The Loons currently sit third in the Western Conference with 22 points and a 6-3-4 record. Minnesota suffered just one home defeat this season, a loss to Vancouver on April 27. Tani Oluwaseyi leads the team in scoring with five goals, followed closely by Kelvin Yeboah with four.
