St. Louis CITY SCās Homegrown players, Caden Glover and Mykhi Joyner, have been called up by U.S. U-19 Men's Youth National Team Head Coach Michael Nsien for the team's upcoming November camp in West Palm Beach, Florida. The camp will run from November 11-17, 2024.
This marks Joynerās second call-up to the U.S. U-19 MYNT, following his debut and first goal against Japan during Octoberās camp in Valencia, Spain.
Joyner had an outstanding season in MLS NEXT Pro, scoring a team-high 19 goals and registering four assists, leading CITY2 to the Western Conference finals. His 16 regular-season goals set a new single-season record for CITY2 and earned him second place in the MLS NEXT Pro Golden Boot race.
Glover, who has represented the U.S. Youth National Teams at the U-15, U-16, and U-17 levels, will now participate in his first U-19 camp. The striker made 19 appearances for CITY2 this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist. In the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs, Glover contributed two game-winning assists to Joyner, bringing his total professional goal contributions to 15.
For the first time in the clubās history, two players from the academy have been called up to the youth national team together.
