St. Louis CITY SC’s U-15, U-16 and U-19 teams will travel to California to compete in this season’s MLS NEXT Fest. The event will go from Friday, December 6 to Wednesday, December 11 at the Empire Polo Ground in Indio, California.
MLS NEXT Fest is the largest event in the 2024-25 season, as over 400 youth soccer teams from the United States and Canada will compete in the MLS NEXT Fest Showcase across four different age groups. The six-day event is one of the most attended by college, national team and professional scouts/coaches during the entire MLS NEXT season as more than 630 matches will be played in a single location.
The U-15, U-16 and U-19 teams enter MLS NEXT Fest having enjoyed a good run of success through the first halves of their respective seasons. The U-15s have a 13-3-2 record through 18 games this fall while the U-16s have gone 10-5-2 and are unbeaten in their last five games. The U-19s, the newest age group for CITY SC’s academy, have gone 11-4-3 picking up strong wins against various MLS academies throughout the season. CITY SC’s four academy teams have earned a combined 29 shutouts so far this season.
