St. Louis CITY SC officially welcomes Schnuck Markets, Inc. to the family as the team’s Proud Grocery Partner. The respected STLMade retailer will play an integral role at every home CITY SC match by sponsoring Player Pals, in which kids accompany St. Louis CITY SC players as they walk out onto the pitch and stand with them during pre-game ceremonies. The kids will wear a special Player Pals shirt featuring Schnucks’ logo. More details about Player Pals, including how a child can become a Player Pal, will be released soon.
“Our youngest fans are the future of the club and important to everything we do,” said Dennis Moore, St. Louis CITY SC’s Chief Revenue Officer. “We are thrilled to have Schnucks on board as our Grocery Partner to help us create opportunities to empower the region’s soccer stars of tomorrow.”
Schnucks is also looking forward to serving as a community partner off the field during the 2023 season.
“As St. Louis’ hometown grocer, Schnucks is excited to welcome St. Louis CITY SC to our great sports city and proud to be a part of their inaugural season,” said Bill Bradley, Schnucks Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. “We look forward to cultivating a longstanding partnership with the club and to celebrating professional soccer with CITY fans.”
"St. Louis CITY SC is already inspiring our next generation of soccer players,” said Zach Collins, Schnucks Brand Manager. “Our hope is to watch a St. Louis kid go from being a Schnucks-sponsored Player Pal alongside CITY's starting eleven today, to wearing the St. Louis CITY SC kit on the pitch with the first team tomorrow.”
