ARLINGTON, TX (March 9, 2025) - St Louis CITY2 opened the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season with a 3-0 shut out win over North Texas SC on Sunday night. CITY2 opened the scoring in the first half with an own goal from North Texas SC. Brendan McSorley put CITY2 up 2-0 in the 31st minute off an assist from Ryan Becher. Right before halftime, Miguel Perez earned his first career MLS NEXT Pro goal. St Louis kept the lead throughout the second half and earned its first three points of the season. CITY2 will be on the road again to face Sporting Kansas City II on Friday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. CT.
