ST. LOUIS, MO (April 19, 2024) - St Louis CITY2 earned its second consecutive win with a 2-0 shutout victory over Real Monarchs. Following a scoreless first half, Mykhi Joyner put CITY2 ahead in the 54th minute, volleying home a ricochet off a corner service from Jay Reid. Later in the half, Caden Glover added to the lead, rocketing in a strike for his first goal of the season. CITY2 locked down defensively the rest of the way, holding Real Monarchs to one shot on goal on the night to lock up the team’s second clean sheet in as many matches. With the win, CITY2 is now unbeaten over its last five matches (two wins, three draws).
