Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. CT, with the match streaming on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
The contest will be the first meeting between CITY2 and Dynamo Dos this season. Both matchups last season ended with a 3-1 scoreline, with the away side winning on each occasion. Across four all-time contests, St. Louis is 2-2-0 against Houston.
CITY2 comes into the contest riding a four-game winning streak and seven-match unbeaten streak that has propelled the team to the best points per game pace in MLS NEXT Pro. To reach those marks, the team defeated visiting side Austin FC II in their last match. Mykhi Joyner wasted no time putting St. Louis ahead, scoring in the 2nd minute for his third goal of the season. Austin appeared to have salvaged a draw through a goal late in the second half, but a strike from Wan Kuzain at the death put CITY2 back in front and sealed the home win.

Joyner’s goal against Austin was his team-leading third goal of the season. Houston ended a four-match losing streak in their last match, powering home two second-half goals for a comeback victory over Real Monarchs. The match will be the team’s third home contest of the season, with Houston failing to capture points in either of the two previous cases this season. Dynamo Dos’ last home result came in a 0-0 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 on August 13, 2023.
