Celebrating Black History Month in our CITY

25CITY_BHM-ArticleHeader

As we kick off February, we hope you take some time in joining St. Louis CITY SC players, coaches and staff in celebrating Black History Month. Damon Davis’ Pillars of the Valley installation proudly stands at the Southwest corner of Energizer Park as a reminder of the Black history that surrounds us. If you haven’t visited, take a trip to the stadium or read more about the piece and the once thriving, predominantly Black neighborhood Mill Creek Valley.

In addition to Downtown West, there are a number of great opportunities to engage and learn more about the Black history in our CITY this month and beyond. The Griot Museum of Black History and the Scott Joplin House are great places to start – both located just a few blocks north of the stadium.
