Register now to run the CITY! CITY Sprint is a one-mile race and fun run for all ages. This first-ever race around CITYPARK is presented by BJC HealthCare and supported by our sponsors, Michelob ULTRA, Evolv, Shift4 and On the Run. CITY Sprint will lead into St Louis CITY2’s final home game of the regular season versus Galaxy II at 5:00 p.m. All CITY Sprint participants will receive a race shirt and free ticket to that evening’s match.

Every race participant will receive the following:

One ticket in the ULTRA Club for the CITY2 match following the race

A CITY Sprint t-shirt

A Pitchside Photo

Entry to win a signed CITY kit OR two (2) tickets to the CITY First Team match on 10/21 vs. Seattle

Which race is for me?

Competitive Mile: Looking to set a PR? Then this race is for you. With timing provided by Chronotrack chip technology, you’ll be competing against yourself, your age group and your gender. Lace up!

Recreational Mile: This event is for those wanting to push the stroller or just have some casual fun. There are no awards and no pressure in this event, just good ‘ol fashioned fun! Nonetheless, even this wave features Chronotrack chip timing.

How do I register?

Where is my packet?

There will be three opportunities to pick up your packet ahead of the race at CITY Pavilion. If you are unable to attend, you may send a friend or family member.
- Thursday, September 14 - 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- Friday, September 15 - 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Sunday, September 17 - 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  - NOTE: This may be relocated to the Plaza near the Race Staging Area

Where will the race begin?

The race will begin and end just east of CITYPARK on 20th Street.

What time does the race start?

The race event begins at 1:30PM on Sunday, September 17, 2023. The competitive heat will start at 2:30PM followed by the recreational heat at 3PM. You are able to run, record, and upload your results on the RunSignUp website from Sunday, September 17, through Sunday October 1.

Can I register the day of the event or after?

If not sold out, you may register up until event day at 12PM on September 17. We do recommend you register much earlier to reserve your space, as participation is limited to the first 2,000 registrants.

Is there an age limit for younger runners?

There is no age limit for runners. T-shirt options include youth sizes, so please make those size selections during your registration.

Can I run with a jogging stroller?

Yes, you may run with a jogging stroller. Children riding in strollers do not need to be registered.

Are there refunds?

Processing fees are non-refundable. Registration fees may be refunded once a refund request is made, and the request is approved by management. Please email  CITYsprint@stlcitysc.com for any refund questions.

My T-shirt does not fit, may I exchange it?

We do not offer size exchanges once your race packet has shipped. The shirt size you chose during registration will be given to you at packet pick-up. If your shirt does not fit you are welcome to exchange your size after the race is over. The exchange location will be on the Plaza outside of CITYPARK on race day.

Is the CITY Sprint presented by BJC HealthCare a timed event?

Yes, this race is a timed event, tracked by each bib number.

Will there be winners?

We will award overall and age-group winners in the competitive heat.

Can non-participants experience raceday ?

Absolutely! Family and friends are invited to cheer you on as well as join a post-race celebration on Lou Fusz Plaza featuring family-friendly DJ entertainment, yard games, kids’ activities, and food and drinks, all ahead of the CITY2 match at 5:00 p.m. Your registration includes one ticket to the CITY2 match; purchase additional tickets for only $16 on SeatGeek.

How can family and friends follow along on my race?

Your fans can locate you on based on your bib number. Share your bib number with your friends or family to have them track you during your run! We also encourage you to upload your race results and photos to your social media platforms.
