Don’t miss your chance to race through St. Louis CITY SC’s world-class stadium district and cross the finish inside Energizer Park!

On Sunday, Sep. 27, CITY SC will host the CITY Sprint 5K Race presented by BJC HealthCare. Starting at Lou Fusz Plaza, participants will run, jog or walk through the streets of Downtown West, with the race route featuring up-close looks at CITY SC landmarks such as the team’s practice fields; Washington University Orthopedics High Performance Center; CITY Pavilion; CITY SC’s front office headquarters, SoMa House; as well as Pillars of the Valley, the permanent monument to Mill Creek Valley. The race will end inside Energizer Park.

All participants will receive a commemorative CITY Sprint 5K T-shirt, finisher's medal, race day photos, two (2) CITY2 tickets and more!

The 5k will begin at 9AM

Registration cost:
Early bird pricing is $40 through May 20.
Pricing will increase as we get closer to Race Day.
Pricing includes a CITY Sprint runners t-shirt, CITY Sprint race medal, and photo at the finish line inside Energizer Park, two (2) CITY2 tickets and more. 

CITY2 Tickets

Register early to ensure that you have your choice of which CITY2 match you want to attend. The matches are as follows:

  • 5/30 CITY2 v North Texas SC | Last day to get tickets 5/23
  • 6/28 CITY2 v Austin FC II | Last day to get tickets 6/21
  • 8/23 CITY2 v Houston Dynamo 2 | Last day to get tickets 8/16

Race description: 5K run through St. Louis CITY SC's world-class stadium district, crossing the finish line inside Energizer Park!

Pre-Race Fun: Start your morning with coffee available for purchase, some tunes from a live DJ, and pre-race photos with your crew!

Parking: Parking will be available at CITY Garage (1950 Olive St.), at Union Station (enter through 18th St.), or any of the free street parking west of Energizer Park, north of Chestnut, or south of Clark St., take a look at the race map to ensure you are not parking on the course.

Race Results: Participants will be able to see their race results and race photos (photos available starting Sunday afternoon). You can view those here.

Start on Chestnut east of the Lou Fusz Plaza, east to 14th, south to Market, east to 8th, north to Chestnut, east to Broadway, south to Market, west to 8th, south to Clark, west to 14th, north to Market, west to 21st, south to Clark, west to 22nd, north to access Tunnel to Finish under Stadium.

Where will the race begin?​

  • The race will begin just east of Energizer Park on 20th Street.

What time does the race start?

  • The race event begins at 9:00AM on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Can I register the day of the event or after?​

  • If not sold out, you may register up until event day at 8:30AM on September 27. We do recommend you register much earlier to reserve your space, as participation is limited to the first 3,000 registrants.

Is there an age limit for younger runners?​

  • There is no age limit for runners. T-shirt options include Youth Medium through unisex XS-XXXL

Can I run with a jogging stroller?​

  • Yes, you may run with a jogging stroller. Children riding in strollers do not need to be registered.

Can I get a refund if I cannot participate?

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for any of the events. You can however, transfer your bib to another person for a refund, upon that person completing the registration process.

Can I transfer my registration to another person if I cannot participate?

  • When you transfer your registered bib, you will receive a refund once the recipient of the transfer registers for the race. Please note, if the registrant does not accept the transfer you will NOT receive a refund, however you will still be able to participate on race day.

How can I transfer my registration to another person?

  • To Transfer your registered bib to Another Runner, the option can be found by logging on to RunSignup, navigating to Profile > Upcoming Events > Manage Registration > Transfer to Another Runner.

My T-shirt does not fit, may I exchange it?

  • We do not offer size exchanges once your race packet has been ordered. The shirt size you chose during registration will be given to you at packet pick-up.

What material will the T-shirt be?

  • Shirt design and details will be shared soon!

Is the CITY Sprint presented by BJC HealthCare a timed event?​

  • Yes, this race is a timed event, tracked by each bib number.

Will there be winners?​

  • We will award overall and age-group winners.

Can non-participants experience raceday?

  • Absolutely! Family and friends are invited to watch you cross the finish line from the lower bowl inside Energizer Park. As well as join a post-race celebration on Lou Fusz Plaza featuring live music, games, and sponsor activations.

How can family and friends follow along on my race?

  • Your fans can locate you based on your bib number. Share your bib number with your friends or family to have them track you during your run! We also encourage you to upload your race results and photos to your social media platforms.

How will I receive my CITY2 tickets?

  • Your CITY2 tickets will be uploaded to the email you registed for CITY Sprint with. Tickets will be accessible in your account the week of the CITY2 match that you selected.
